Improvers is ideal for all Start Course graduates, or those who have done some windsurfing before but not got to the stage of using the harness or planing.
Ideally you are happy Windsurfing in light winds (2 to 12knots) and are able to stay upwind on a Start Board.
This course is designed to quickly get you up and going on progression equipment such as Starboard Go boards and modern monofilm sails (Severne Gator's). We will look at improving your stance to the point where you are stepping back more on the board and really starting to commit your weight against the power in the sail = more speed!!
This course is run in a small group environment and price includes all tuition and equipment, including wetsuits if required.
By the end of the Start Windsurfing course you will have a good understanding of equipment choice/setup and be in control of your board, able to go wherever you want to and return!
The Improvers Course will cover:
- Beachstarts
- Harness use and set up
- Improved stance/rig balance for stronger winds
- Fast tacks
- Gybing
All equipment is provided with this course. Maximum of 3 Students per Instructor.
